Electrician (Solar PV, BESS & EV Chargers)

Location: Guildford – Work is normally 30-60 minutes from Guildford. Ideally you will live within a 30 minute commute to Guildford.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Salary: £50,000-£55,000 per annum + Van (E-Transit) + Holidays + Pension

Our client is expanding and is seeking a Senior Electrician to work on a permanent.

The role involves the installation, testing, and commissioning of Solar PV systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and EV charging points across domestic and commercial properties. Approximately 85% of projects are domestic, with 15% commercial.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carrying out full electrical installations for solar energy systems (AC/DC side)
- Installing and commissioning battery storage systems (BESS)
- Installing and configuring EV chargers
- Completing electrical testing, fault finding, and full system commissioning
- Accurately completing all job documentation, certification, and compliance paperwork
- Working professionally within occupied residential properties
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, presentation, and customer care
- Adhering to all company health & safety procedures and site regulations
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- BS 7671 – 18th Edition (Current Wiring Regulations)
- City & Guilds 2391-24 – Inspection & Testing
- Level 3 Core Electrical Qualification
- City & Guilds 2921-34 – Level 3 Award in Electric Vehicle Charging
- City & Guilds 2922-34 – Level 3 Award in Solar Photovoltaic Systems
- City & Guilds 2923-34 – Level 3 Award in Electrical Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Experience installing BESS and EV charging systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own Tools
- Strong knowledge of BS7671 and MCS standards
