Technical Support Engineer (Industrial Tooling)
Position Type: Permanent, full-time.
Location: National – You will work from home however travel will be expected across the UK.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Salary: £40,000-£50,000 per annum + Car Allowance (£450 per month) + Bonus.

Our client is a leading provider in Production Tooling, offering an array of specialised services tailored to assembling components and tools across diverse industries. Renowned for their commitment to excellence, they oversee every phase of the process, from meticulous design to seamless installation, guaranteeing optimal manufacturing efficiency.
The Technical Support Engineer will provide expert troubleshooting and resolution for technical issues related to air, battery & DC tooling systems. You will assist with technical support to Area Sales Manager’s during the sales process. In addition, you will provide support to the Operations Team to ensure existing client solutions are fully supported. You will be instrumental during the commissioning stage including product demonstrations.
You will require an understanding of networking such as Open Protocol, Fieldbus, Bluetooth, WiFi communication as well as barcode readers and scanners.
Example of Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, both remotely and on-site.
- Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, troubleshooting processes, and solutions.
- Conduct in-depth demonstrations of tooling products to prospective and existing clients, showcasing their functionality, benefits, and applications.
- Collaborate with the sales team to tailor demonstrations to client-specific needs and industry requirements.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to communicate technical requirements and ensure satisfaction.
- Commissioning is a critical part of the installation process and our client work closely with customers to set up tooling for:
- specific torques
- torque to yield – Angle control
- multiple spindle applications including synchronisation and multi-step tightening process
- Physical IO
- WiFi communication
- Bluetooth communication
- Open Protocol communication
- Fieldbus communication
- Barcode readers and scanners
Skills Required:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing engineering environment is essential.
- Industrial tooling experience is advantageous however not essential.
- Commercial understanding is crucial to ensure profitability.
- Flexibility to travel to client sites as required (Nationwide)
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
