
Senior Electrical Engineer

Salary: £45,000-£60,000 p.a. depending on experience
Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week – Office based role

The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to design power distribution panels and control panels for a range of heat pumps and Semiconductor Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating schematics, wiring drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and manufacturing procedures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge energy solutions and work in a dynamic team environment.
Example of responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements
- Perform electrical calculations and simulation analysis to optimize designs for efficiency and safety
- Monitor and manage technical risks associated with electrical systems
- Collaborate with the project team to plan and estimate costs for electrical engineering tasks
- Participate in regular design reviews and provide input for product improvement
- Generate customer build drawings and specifications
- Communicate design changes to the management team, highlighting any potential impact on time and cost
- Conduct test and inspections on electrical equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Manage the electrical engineering team, providing guidance and monitoring performance
- Report to the Engineering Manager on progress, challenges, and recommendations
Essential Experience
- Degree in related subject and/or relevant experience in s similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in technical design of Electrical Systems
- Knowledge of PLC based control systems would be an advantage
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK as no sponsorship is available for this role.
