Project Coordinator (Engineering)
 
Position Type: Permanent, full-time.
 
Location: Stafford. Time will be split between Office, WFH and visiting client sites in the Midlands.  (Hybrid working available). Ideally you will need to be located between Birmingham and as far north as Stoke.
 
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
 
Salary: £30,000 – £45,400 per annum, depending on experience.
(Base salary is up to £40,000 + Car allowance)
 
The Role:
 
Our client is a leading provider in Production Tooling, offering an array of specialised services tailored to assembling components and tools across diverse industries. Renowned for their commitment to excellence, they oversee every phase of the process, from meticulous design to seamless installation, guaranteeing optimal manufacturing efficiency.
 
In light of their sustained expansion, our client is seeking an accomplished Engineering Project Coordinator to join their dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the cornerstone of communication with their esteemed clientele, diligently overseeing projects to ensure they meet exacting standards while adhering to budgetary constraints.
 
The successful candidate will work from the office, home, and client sites therefore a full UK Driving Licence is needed.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Main point of contact for key clientele.
  • Visit various client sites across the UK.
  • Identify opportunities to boost revenue through products, components, or services.
  • Formulate solutions needed to create proposals for clients.
  • Interpret and create documents using MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Take initiative to plan and organise workload independently.
  • Prepare cost sheets (RFQ sheets) and customer quotes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers necessary for project delivery at client sites.
  • Manage internal and external resources for project completion.
  • Develop and distribute basic project schedules internally and to clients.
  • Track and report on potential sales from major client accounts.
  • Report directly to the Operations Director.
 
 
Skills Required:
  • A Mechanical Engineering background would be highly beneficial for understanding the tooling products. Knowledge of productions tooling isn’t essential.
  • Commercial understanding is crucial to ensure profitability.
  • Time Management skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Have a basic understanding of electrical systems/data systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
