Pre-Construction Manager

Employment Type: Permanence, Full-time

Location: Washington, Tyne and Wear

Salary: £42,000 (37.5 hours per week)

The Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for the planning and management of all pre-construction activities related to commercial energy projects. This includes tenders, design and documentation preparation, supply chain partner management, and client and contractor engagement. The Pre-Construction Manager will also ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, regulations, and business standards.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Commercial Projects in the creation and submission of bids and tenders.
  • Oversee the PreConstruction process for Commercial Energy Projects.
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with new projects.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from project award to commencement of work on site.
  • Support the preparation of Stage 3 and 4 design documents.
  • Liaise with supply chain partners to obtain quotes and estimates.
  • Schedule site visits with clients and contractors.
  • Engage with clients, attend client and contractor meetings, and submit written weekly reports to the Head of Commercial Projects.
  • Assist in the onboarding process of new supply chain partners.
 
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Heat Pumps and District Heating Systems is essential.
  • From a technical or design background within construction/M&E
  • Knowledge of pre-construction processes
  • Prioritise a demanding and busy workload.
  • Interact sensitively with others.
  • Must have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
