Pre-Construction Manager

Salary: £42,000 (37.5 hours per week)

The Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for the planning and management of all pre-construction activities related to commercial energy projects. This includes tenders, design and documentation preparation, supply chain partner management, and client and contractor engagement. The Pre-Construction Manager will also ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, regulations, and business standards.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Commercial Projects in the creation and submission of bids and tenders.
- Oversee the Pre–Construction process for Commercial Energy Projects.
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with new projects.
- Ensure a smooth transition from project award to commencement of work on site.
- Support the preparation of Stage 3 and 4 design documents.
- Liaise with supply chain partners to obtain quotes and estimates.
- Schedule site visits with clients and contractors.
- Engage with clients, attend client and contractor meetings, and submit written weekly reports to the Head of Commercial Projects.
- Assist in the onboarding process of new supply chain partners.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Heat Pumps and District Heating Systems is essential.
- From a technical or design background within construction/M&E
- Knowledge of pre-construction processes
- Prioritise a demanding and busy workload.
- Interact sensitively with others.
- Must have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
