M&E Design Engineer
Position: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Leeds – but the position will be working from home with the occasional visit to the office in Washington, Newcastle.
Hours: 37.5hours per week
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience + company benefits
Due to continued growth, my client is currently recruiting a further M&E Design Engineer to join the team. My client is an engineering consultancy business, utilising renewable technologies to help their clients achieve carbon reductions.
The Role:
Support the Lead Engineer and the wider team with the development of energy-saving solutions.
Support the Lead Engineer and the wider team with the development of energy-saving solutions.
- Provide help from the initial idea to the final stages of development.
- Develop solutions to energy and water efficiency upgrade challenges.
- Assist with site surveys and building reports for solution development.
- To be aware of the environmental aspects and impacts relevant to the work of the job holder as well as ensuring compliance with any environmental legislation that is applicable to the job.
- Energy modeling and savings calculations.
Experience/Skills Required:
- Experience of designing renewable energy heating systems or building services related designs is preferable.
- Knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD.
- Engineering-related degree such as Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services (related degrees will be considered).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to talk to clients.
- Good time management skills.
- Experience with MS Office (Excel and Word).
