Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £21,000-£26,000 per annum
Location: Knutsford, Cheshire
Hours: 8.30am-5pm Monday – Friday

My client is a market leader within the specialist engineering manufacturing industry. They are looking to hire a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer which would be well suited to an engineering graduate or someone who has recently completed their NVQ. You will provide draughting and technical documentation support to both production and product maintenance departments. Responsibilities
- Produce technical drawings of machined components needed for manufacturing.
- Identify customer requirements and create technical documents accordingly.
- Conducting research to determine the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanical systems.
- Offer technical assistance to both customers and internal staff when necessary.
- Write technical descriptions for quotations.
- Identifying and resolving any issues or problems that arise during the design and development process.
- Ensuring that all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
Essential Skills
- Have some exposure to AutoCAD or Solidworks or other 3D Design packages during studies.
- Must be able to commute to Knutsford daily. This is an office-based role.
- Engineering related degree or qualification.
- Interest in working within engineering.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- IT literate with knowledge of office software such as Word and Outlook.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not provided for this position.
