Graduate Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor 
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Huntstown, Dublin
Salary: €30,000- €35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday  (8.30am-5pm)
We are searching for an Environmental graduate to work for our client who own and manage a new state of the art AD Facility (Anaerobic Digestion). Our client generates renewable energy from surplus packaged food sourced from the retail, hospitality, agriculture, and food production sectors.

This is a unique opportunity to join a pioneering company at the forefront of green energy production in Ireland. You will report directly to the Compliance Manager where you will learn all aspects of the EHAS role to become an integral member of the team.

Example of Responsibilities:
  • Report Preparation: Prepare and compile comprehensive reports for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
  • Policy Development: Assist the Compliance Manager in developing and managing EHAS policies, management systems, procedures, manuals, guidelines, and records.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure the highest safety compliance standards and a healthy work setting for staff, visitors, and vendors.
  • Environmental Reporting: Prepare various environmental reports, including the Annual Environmental Report, Environmental Performance Report, and National Waste Collection Permit Office return.
  • Environmental Checks: Conduct weekly environmental checks, including odour assessments.
  • Regulation Monitoring: Stay updated on safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to the industry.
  • Site Walks: Conduct safety and environmental site walks to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance.
  • Emission Monitoring: Monitor and assess emissions to ensure compliance with the EPA licence.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Support emergency preparedness and response efforts, including developing evacuation plans and procedures.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events to determine root causes and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Sampling and Analysis: Conduct regular sampling and laboratory analysis as per EPA and Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with and as part of our compliance team.
Experience/ Skills Required
  • A recent graduate with a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
