Facilities Carpentry Technician
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Luton
Hours: 7.30 am to 3.30 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 7.30 am to 3.00 pm on Friday.
39.5 hours per week.
Salary: £40,132 per annum

On Call: 1 week in 5, soon to be 1 week in 6 (overtime rate is paid at x1.5)
My client is currently recruiting for a Facilities Carpentry Technician to join their organisation on a permanent basis at their site in Luton. The role will be extremely varied and cover predominantly Carpentry maintenance alongside other tasks such as tiling, painting, and decorating. For this role, you will be working as part of a well-established team.
Responsibilities:
- Completing a range of planned and preventative maintenance across my client’s site, this is predominantly within carpentry, but there will also be painting and decorating tasks.

Tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Fixing doors, windows, cabinets, and shelves.
- Replacing damaged floors or handrails.
- Painting and Drywall repair
- Providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Working in conjunction with sub-contractors when necessary.
- Accurately recording work on the maintenance system and ensuring documentation is kept up to date at all times.
- Working on an on-call rota.
- Always adhering to health and safety procedures.
Experience/Skills Required:
- A time-served Carpenter or substantial experience in Carpentry.
- Good understanding of health and safety.
- Ability to complete physically demanding tasks when required.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
