Environmental Advisor (Rail)

Hours: 8-4 Monday to Thursday, 8-2 Friday
 
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 p.a. dependent on experience.
 
Benefits: 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
 
My client is a very well-established company who have a fantastic opportunity for an Environmental and Quality Advisor (emphasis on the Environmental) with a background in rail to join their organisation on a permanent basis. They provide custom-made electrical engineering solutions across the country to large blue-chip clients within the Rail sector.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee various environmental and quality assurance systems and processes, such as:

    • Principal Contractor’s Licence
    • ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001
    • RISQS Accreditation.
  • Providing project hand back advice to the Project Management Team as needed and reviewing relevant company policies, procedures, and document control.
  • Provide support to the Head of Safety & Assurance.
  • Ensure that all activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and statutory Environmental & Quality Regulations.
  • Attend and participate in client-led environmental/quality forums and maintain the Company Sustainability Action Plan while implementing new ideas for environment, quality, and sustainability.
  • Occasionally chair monthly HSEQ meetings when needed, produce and circulate meeting minutes, support the Company Environmental & Quality Objectives and Targets, and
Experience/Skills Required:
  • Experience within a similar job role in the Rail industry.
  • IEMA Practitioner Level is required.
  • Knowledge of producing Rail Environmental and Social Responsibility Plans.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • MS Office Packages (Word/Excel/Outlook).
