Engineering Production Manager

We are delighted to exclusively partner with an industry leader in the design and manufacture of products for the construction industry.
They are looking for a motivated and successful Engineering Production Manager to join their Team. The primary responsibility of this role is to facilitate efficient production processes and enhance production quality. This involves guaranteeing a steady provision of high-quality materials to the production line, performing maintenance, repairs, and calibration of manufacturing equipment, whilst providing operators with clear and precise work instructions.

Example of Responsibilities of the Engineering Production Manager:
- Overseeing Production Planning and achieving plan targets.
- Daily management of the production team, which includes monitoring timekeeping, attendance, health and safety compliance, conducting Toolbox Talks, managing discipline, and conducting employee appraisals.
- Forecasting labour needs to ensure adequate workforce availability in line with the production plan.
- Enhancing operational efficiency, documenting Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), troubleshooting issues, and conducting ISO9001 audits of production procedures.
- Coordinating, expediting, and troubleshooting within the following functional areas:
- Procurement of manufacturing materials
- Streamlining the production processes.
- Managing logistics for the delivery of finished products.
Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience in production engineering.
- Effective communication with various office functions is a key aspect of the role.
- This position emphasizes active problem-solving and hands-on tasks rather than administrative work.
- Desirable qualifications include H&S awareness training, prior experience in the aluminium fenestration industry, and familiarity with ISO9001 systems.
