Domestic Gas Engineer
Employment type: Permanent, full time
Location: Newcastle (Tyneside)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5pm (40 hours per week)
Salary: up to £40,000 basic salary + Van
Position
Due to continued growth, my client is currently seeking a Domestic Gas Engineer to join their team covering the Tyneside area. My client is a growing building contractor who are looking for an experience plumber to work mainly with pipework alterations, extending systems, moving boilers, moving radiators and flues where necessary. This is not a boiler installation role.
Example of Responsibilities
- Working in a domestic setting.
- Installing plumbed pipework to new rooms
- Ensuring that all gas works conform to safety regulations
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and other trades in relation to gas works
- Ensuring that all gas installations are of a high quality.
- Test for gas tightness and flue flow
- Undertaking general plumbing maintenance
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Attributes
- Valid Gas Safe certificate
- Must be gas safe registered i.e., hold core gas certificates including CCN1
- Must have experience with domestic heating systems, boilers, radiators, gas cookers etc.
- Good faulting finding, diagnostics, service and repair skills.
- Full UK driving license
