Chargehand (Semi-Skilled)

Location: London (Hayes)
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:45 to 16:30 and finishing early on Friday at 15:30
Salary: £15.63 – £19.53 per hour (Overtime £21.15 – £22.85 per hour)
Due to continued growth, my client is currently recruiting for a Chargehand who lives in close proximity to Hayes to support various projects.

The Role
The Chargehand plays a key role in ensuring the successful operation of our Hire and Service Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance, support and rectifications to the operation team in order to deliver excellent customer service and operational best practice.
The Chargehand will be expected to maintain cost control, meet or improve upon planned costs and work within agreed timescales. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all works undertaken adhere to Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and Company procedures.
In addition, the Chargehand will be required to maintain and complete records of tracking work activity for all buildings daily, as well as ensuring accuracy of building allocation paperwork such as drawings and specifications, to the agreed fitout specification.
Experience/ Skills Required
- Valid UK Driving License.
- Practical operational experience ideally in construction related roles and proven experience of managing health and safety within construction working environments.
- A solid understanding of Microsoft software packages including Outlook and Excel
