CAD Design Engineer
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Middleton, Office Based
Hours: Monday to Thursday (8.30-5.30) Friday (8.30-3) – Office-based role
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum

Our client is going through a large period of growth; therefore, they are looking for 2 new CAD Designers to join their team. Ideally, you will have experience using Solidworks within an engineering-related environment.
You will be joining a very successful and well-established company who are leaders in their industry. They design to make an impact. If successful, you will be responsible for creating the designs for the production team. You will typically work on 4-7 different design projects per week. Example of Responsibilities:
- Use Solidworks to create detailed CAD models and technical drawings for lighting to meet customers’ needs and for manufacturers to follow.
- Balancing multiple different projects at once and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Liaise with multiple departments, including Customers, Sales, Project Management and Procurement, and Product and Installation teams. Therefore, need to understand the difference in communicating with different people.
- Responsible for your own projects, from start to finish.
- Altering and renewing drawings when required.
- Give technical advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Be the main point of contact for design queries from clients or internal team members
Experience Required:
- Ideally, 2+ Years experience using Solidworks (Autodesk Inventor will be considered) in a multi-disciplinary engineering sector.
- Confidence in talking to customers is essential.
- Basic understanding of Adobe suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to finish your own project. Full control from start to finish.
- Understand multi-material manufacturing technologies, processes, and installation.
- Able to commute to the office daily.
