Battery Operative
Employment type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Chesterfield, mobile field based role
Hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £23,000-£25,000 p.a. depending on experience + Van

My client is a dynamic market leader within the motive power industry. They have a passion for service excellence which has contributed to their rapid growth within the last few years. This role offers great progression opportunities as you will learn all the basic skills involving the maintenance of Motive Power batteries.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Battery Operative to work on a mobile basis cleaning and topping up motive power batteries. You will travel to client sites to clean forklift batteries and ensure they are topped up.
Example of Responsibilities:
- Cleaning battery cells
- Topping up lead acid batteries
- Adhering to health & safety policies at all times
- Providing an excellent level of customer service
- Representing company in a positive manner
- Ensuring work area is kept clean at all times
- Working in a team environment
Essential skills:
- Full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points
- Good attention to detail
- Flexibility to travel to client sites in various locations
- Experience in an engineering environment would be advantageous however not essential
- Excellent Communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment
